Class of 1958

We were married in Hobbs July 26, 1958 so shortly after this 40 reunion we will also celebrate 40 years of marriage.

We live in a privately developed lake community of Holiday Shores near Worden Illinois just across the Mississippi River from the Metro St. Louis Mo. Area.

Don has worked for Shell Pipe Line Corp for 31 years as a Senior Communications Technician and is looking to retire within 2 years. Shell has transferred us from Texas to Missouri and then to Illinois.

We still have family living in Hobbs; Don’s mother and 2 brothers live there. Mary has 2 brothers and 2 sisters and many nieces and nephews.

We have 3 grown sons, a niece and nephew we helped rear, and 8 grandchildren. All the grandchildren live within 70 miles of us so we are blessed by that.

One son , Russell and his wife Kim live about 1 mile from us with 5 of the 8 grandchildren, 2 boys and 3 girls.

Our middle son Doug lives in Nashville Tennessee and works for Peterbilt and is not married.

Another son, Wade and his wife Shelly live 70 miles away in Centralia Illinois. They have 2 sons.

The other grandson is actually a son of Mary's nephew John and his wife Hazel, whom we helped to rear so we claim him and his family as our own.

Our niece Susan also lives in Centralia, Illinois, and works for Visiting Nurses Association. She is not married.
